KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 16 — Thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds are forecast across Perlis, Melaka, Putrajaya and parts of nine other states until 8 pm today, according to the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia).

In Kedah, the affected areas include Kubang Pasu, Sik, Baling, Kuala Muda, Langkawi and Padang Terap, while in Perak, the weather alert covers Hulu Perak, Kuala Kangsar, Larut, Matang and Selama, Kerian, Kinta, Perak Tengah, Manjung, Hilir Perak and Bagan Datuk.

In Kelantan, the warning covers Gua Musang, Kuala Krai, Jeli, Tanah Merah and Machang, while in Terengganu, it affects Kemaman, Dungun and Hulu Terengganu.

In Pahang, the areas involved are Jerantut and Kuantan, while in Selangor, they comprise Petaling, Klang, Kuala Selangor, Kuala Langat, Sepang, Sabak Bernam and Hulu Langat, alongside Tampin in Negeri Sembilan.
