KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 18 — The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning of thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds in several areas across 10 states and two Federal Territories until 6pm today.
In a statement today, MetMalaysia said the warning covers the entire Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya, as well as selected areas in Kedah, Penang, Perak, Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Sarawak and Sabah.
In Kedah, the affected areas are Baling, Kulim, Bandar Baharu, Padang Terap and Sik, while in Penang, they are Seberang Perai Selatan, Seberang Perai Tengah and Seberang Perai Utara.
In Perak, the warning covers Muallim, Hulu Perak, Kuala Kangsar, Kinta, Kampar, Batang Padang, Larut, Matang and Selama, and Kerian.
