Key points
- MRSM Malaysia Alumni Association (ANSARA) president Taufiq Hussien said that the incentive will encourage more former students of the MARA Junior Science College (MRSM) to give back to their respective schools.
- "Most individuals contribute directly to the school, so if possible, when the tax exemption is expanded, alumni can contribute funds through associations or alumni bodies to enable the distribution of funds to be targeted according to the critical needs of a school," he said to Bernama.
- Taufiq said that ANSARA is currently raising funds based on the needs of each MRSM, including the construction of halls and special alumni arenas, as well as financial assistance for students from low-income families (B40).
