KUALA LUMPUR: The Education Ministry is providing psychosocial support to the family and school community of a Year One pupil who died after experiencing breathing difficulties in her classroom in Dengkil.
Education Minister Datuk Seri Fadhlina Sidek said the ministry would leave the investigation to the police, with its immediate focus on supporting the family and school community.
"We extend our condolences to the family. The ministry has taken steps to provide psychosocial support to the family and the school community," she told reporters after attending the Anti-Bullying Act 2026 Literacy Programme at the Malaysian Teacher Education Institute's Malay Language Campus today.
She said the ministry would be guided by the findings of the police investigation.
