KUCHING, Oct 23: A 32-year-old company director and shareholder faced 10 criminal breach of trust charges at the Sessions Court here today, all of which he claimed trial on.
The accused is alleged to have moved RM91,400 from his firm’s bank account into his own through a series of transfers between Oct 4 and Nov 20, 2025. The largest single transfer, RM33,000, was made on Nov 17.
The charges, framed under Section 409 of the Penal Code, carry a jail term of two to 20 years, whipping and a fine upon conviction.
The court heard that the man had been given access to the company’s account to run its day-to-day operations. His business partner, also a director and shareholder, lodged a complaint alleging the transfers were made without his knowledge or consent.
