NAGOYA: A defeat in the final of the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games is not the end for the national padel pair Christian Didier Chin and Aidan Yunus.
Instead, it serves as a starting point for them to return stronger in their quest to bring glory to Malaysia.
Christian and Aidan, who settled for the silver medal after losing to the top seeds from Qatar, Mashari Naif and Rashed Naif, are now shifting their focus to achieving greater success, particularly at the 2027 SEA Games, where Malaysia will serve as the host nation.
In the final at the Nagoya City Higashi Sports Center, the national pair lost 6-3, 6-1 in 55 minutes, despite having taken a 3-1 lead in the first set.
Christian admitted his disappointment, noting that while they had the opportunity to put up a stiffer fight, their opponents were hungrier for victory and capitalised on their chances.
