PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian men’s hockey team continued their fiery performance at the Asian Games in Gifu, Japan, storming into the final after defeating South Korea 2-1 in the semi-final today.
In Saturday's final, the Speedy Tigers will take on favourites India for the gold medal. Malaysia has never won the gold medal at the Asian Games, but came close in 2010 and 2018, winning the silver medal as runners-up.
The Malaysian men's hockey team dominated Pool B, finishing top of the table with a perfect record of five wins from five matches. They scored a staggering total of 34 goals while conceding only four.
