Khairy Jamaluddin’s legal application against Mynic Bhd, the national registry for '.my' domain names, seeks detailed information on the owner, including identity and contact details.

KUALA LUMPUR: The High Court has substantially allowed former minister Khairy Jamaluddin’s bid to obtain the identity of the registered owner of the focusmalaysia.my domain following the publication of an allegedly defamatory article about him.

Justice Arziah Apandi made the order on Tuesday after hearing Khairy’s originating summons, which was filed on Sept 21.

The judge said the disclosure was necessary to enable Khairy to identify the person or persons responsible for the publication and, if appropriate, commence defamation proceedings.
