PETALING JAYA: Bersatu information chief Tun Faisal Ismail Aziz has warned elected representatives who quit the party that they must give up their seat and pay RM10 million in compensation to the party.

In a Facebook post, he reminded Bersatu's elected representatives of the oath and pledge they made to the party when selected as candidates for elections.

“If you leave the party or join another party, you will be cursed by Allah, the Prophet and the believers, and any expenditure using the elected representative’s allowance will be considered haram,” he said.
