For the time being, outspoken border control chief Shuhaily Zain will remain in his post despite being charged a week ago with assaulting two Special Branch police officers.

Inspector-General of Police Khalid Ismail said this even as fresh allegations surfaced this morning that Shuhaily assaulted another low-ranking police officer in 2015 while the latter was the Hilir Perak district police chief.

For now, outspoken border control chief Shuhaily Zain’s neck is safe, with no immediate decision on his future following his charge of assaulting two special branch officers.

Inspector-General of Police Khalid Ismail said Shuhaily’s fate would be determined after a review involving the police, the home minister and the Attorney-General’s Chambers.
