AKPS director-general Shuhaily Zain at the Sepang magistrates’ court on Oct 21, where he faced two charges of voluntarily causing hurt.PETALING JAYA: A former policeman has asked the attorney-general to review a police report he made in 2015, alleging that he was assaulted by Malaysian Border Control and Protection Agency chief Shuhaily Zain.
The former policeman’s lawyers said they submitted a formal request to Attorney-General Dusuki Mokhtar for the report to be reconsidered as no action had been taken against Shuhaily – who was the Hilir Perak police chief at the time – in connection with the complaint.
Lawyers Kamal Hisham Ja’afar and Nor Tamrin said their client, Saifuddin Abdul Kader, faced various difficulties after lodging the report against Shuhaily, eventually resulting in his dismissal from the force.
