PUTRAJAYA: A headmaster was sentenced to 20 years' jail and 11 strokes of the rotan after the Court of Appeal found him guilty of producing child pornography and sexual assault of a 12-year-old student five years ago.
The three-member panel of judges led by Datuk Noorin Badaruddin, sitting with Datuk Radzi Abdul Hamid and Datuk Meor Hashimi Abdul Hamid, denied the final appeal of Anuar Kintan for producing child pornography.
The court also allowed the prosecution's appeal of the 59-year-old's acquittal on the sexual assault charge which had been delivered by a lower court.
On the first charge, the court affirmed the sentence of nine years' jail and eight strokes of the rotan which had been handed down by the Ipoh High Court.
