KUALA LUMPUR: Digital Minister Gobind Singh Deo will propose setting up a task force to tackle the misuse of artificial intelligence (AI) during elections.
He told the Dewan Rakyat today that the ministry would discuss policy measures with the Election Commission (EC) and could provide the technological framework and secure platforms to address the threat.
"We can provide the framework, and we can also provide secure platform systems and so on. But on policy matters, we will sit down and discuss with them (EC).
"As for whether a task force will be established, I can bring forward the proposal. I have no problem with that," he said.
