KANGAR: Perlis Menteri Besar Abu Bakar Hamzah has confirmed meeting Pas central leadership in Kuala Lumpur on Monday to seek a solution to the ongoing political impasse in the state.
Abu Bakar said the meeting with Pas secretary-general Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan took place in the federal capital, adding that the outcome would be announced by the top leadership of Perikatan Nasional.
He said he hoped the discussion would yield positive results to ensure political stability in Perlis.
At the same time, he acknowledged facing challenges in ensuring state stability, reviving the economy, and safeguarding public welfare.
