SEPANG: Jorge Martin has been cleared to compete in free practice one (FP1) at the Petronas Grand Prix of Malaysia which starts on Friday.

MotoGP confirmed that the Aprilia Racing rider passed a medical check-up at Sepang Circuit earlier on Thursday.

The MotoGP medical team will, however, reevaluate Martin again after FP1 on Friday.

Martin's participation at Sepang had been in doubt after he suffered a non-displaced fracture of the distal radius (wrist) on his right hand after crashing during the sprint race at Phillip Island last week.
