In a statement today, Indah Water Konsortium Sdn Bhd (IWK) said the affected 300mm-diameter pipe is about 4m deep and is more than 30 years old, reported Bernama.
It said site investigations began immediately after public complaints were received, with emergency repairs targeted for completion by Nov 7, if weather permits.
IWK said this was the first reported incident of its kind in the area.
