Lee Chean Chung was elected Petaling Jaya MP in the 2022 general election and was the assemblyman for Semambu in Pahang for two terms prior to that.

PETALING JAYA: Former Petaling Jaya MP Lee Chean Chung joined Bersama after leaving PKR, effective today.

He joins fellow former PKR MPs and leaders including former PKR deputy president Rafizi Ramli, former PKR vice-president Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad and former Subang MP Wong Chen.

Lee, a former PKR treasurer-general and communications director, submitted his Bersama membership application today before being admitted into the party.

"His entry strengthens Bersama's leadership line-up as the party continues to grow. He will share the responsibility of leading our Melaka election campaign, focusing on building our machinery in Chinese-majority areas.
