The finance ministry said the agreement between Suria Strategic Energy Resources Sdn Bhd (SSER) and the Export-Import Bank of China (Cexim) represented a “significant achievement” in the partial recovery of RM8 billion in loans from the bank to finance the Trans-Sabah Gas Pipeline and multi-product pipeline projects that have since been terminated.
