KOTA BARU: The Attorney-General's Chambers (A-GC) has appealed against the High Court's decision to sentence a senior police officer to seven years and six months' jail for causing the death of Form Five student Muhammad Zaharif Affendi Muhd Zamrie.
Attorney-General Tan Sri Mohd Dusuki Mokhtar said the appeal was filed at the Court of Appeal last week.
He said the prosecution intended to review all aspects of the case, including whether to seek reinstatement of the original murder charge.
"Through this appeal, the prosecution intends to examine the entire case, including whether to submit arguments to reinstate the original murder charge," he said.
