SEPANG: Bersama's Rafizi Ramli has urged backbenchers to disassociate themselves from the government if they are unhappy with its policies or decisions.
At a press conference at Bersama's headquarters here, Rafizi said these MPs should not stay silent and remain in the government bloc if they do not agree with the government's policies.
"If you can no longer support the government's stand, if its decisions go against your principles, then you need to disassociate yourself from the government," he said.
The former two-term MP added that backbenchers who truly want to defend their principles have no choice but to vacate their seats due to the anti-hopping law, citing his own resignation and that of others who are now in Bersama.
