KUCHING, Nov 2: Sarawak is exploring the potential use of Reverse Deep Neural Network (DNN) technology, which can detect false data by examining the flow of information within a system.

Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg said the approach allows examination of data flow to identify information input or output by a machine.

“I read about efforts to find a solution for detecting false data, though I cannot personally verify the accuracy of what I read, but given that artificial intelligence (AI) utilises artificial neural networks, there is currently discussion regarding reverse DNN.

“Through this reverse DNN method, data flow can be inspected to identify data that has been input or outputted by machines. This indicates that there are machines capable of detecting such occurrences,” he said at the Sarawak Information System Sdn Bhd (SAINS) 35th Anniversary Celebration Dinner at Wisma Melayu, here, on Sunday (Nov 1), according to a Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) report.
