(EPA Images pic)SHAH ALAM: Federal police believe a syndicate is roping in Chinese nationals as drug mules to smuggle cocaine into Hong Kong from Malaysia, through Penang.
Bukit Aman narcotics crime investigation department director Hussein Omar Khan said they have come across three cases involving Chinese nationals who adopt the same tactics.
“They would fly to KLIA from China, then head to Penang, where they will take another flight to Hong Kong,” he said at a press conference here today.
Hussein said three drug mules have been nabbed to date - two by Hong Kong authorities and one arrested in Penang.
