JASIN: Barisan Nasional candidate for the Rim seat, Datuk Khaidirah Abu Zahar, today told her side of the story over allegations that she had used government machinery and facilities for her election campaign in the Melaka election.

She denied any involvement in a Deepavali aid distribution programme organised by the Jasin Municipal Council (MPJ), saying she was neither informed nor invited to the event held at the Rim State Assembly Development and Coordination Committee (Japerun) premises here on Sunday.

Khaidirah, better known as Dira, said she was at the premises to observe the postal ballot verification process for the Rim constituency, involving 180 voters, which was held at the same venue as the Deepavali aid distribution programme
