MELAKA: Bersatu has not issued any instructions to its grassroots members to support Pakatan Harapan candidates in seats where there is no contest between the two coalitions in the Melaka election.
Its vice-president Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu said although the party had not issued any instructions to its members and supporters, it appreciated PH's willingness to support its candidates.
"Although (Melaka Pakatan Harapan chairman) Adly Zahari had stated openly that his side had no objection to supporting us in seats it is not contesting, we have not issued any instructions on our part.
"At the same time, however, we are grateful that PH leaders have expressed such a willingness," he said when met while campaigning in the Ayer Keroh constituency here.
