PETALING JAYA: The Kuala Perlis Seafood Complex (Komalaut) will undergo a RM500,000 upgrade in 2027 to improve facilities for local entrepreneurs and attract more visitors.
The project, to be implemented by the Perlis State Economic Development Corporation (PKENPs), will involve renovation and upgrading works at the complex, including its 48 business stalls and two public toilets.
Economy Minister Akmal Nasrullah Mohd Nasir said in his winding-up speech on the Economy Ministry’s Budget 2027 committee-stage debate in the Dewan Rakyat today that the project was a new initiative under the 2027 allocation.
He said the improvements would help small entrepreneurs market local products while making the complex more attractive to tourists.
