Latest Tiggo Cross crash draws attention following earlier Omoda 5 recall
PETALING JAYA: Chery Auto Malaysia has clarified that the wheels of a Tiggo Cross involved in a crash along the New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE) on Saturday came off due to the impact of the collision, insisting that no vehicle components had failed.
The clarification came after photographs and videos of the damaged vehicle circulated on social media, raising questions about its condition following the accident on Nov 7.
In a statement, the company said the damage to the front bumper and the detached wheels were caused by the impact of the collision, dismissing speculation that the incident was linked to a component failure.
