After it was first previewed at the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (KLIMS) 2026 back in June, Proton has now officially pulled the curtain back on the 2026 Proton X50 Sport Edition (SE). This is the 3rd SE release that Proton has rolled out so far for its X-series SUV lineup, following the 2025 X50 SE and 2026 X70 MC3.
Despite that, the 2026 X50 SE retains pretty much the same theme as previous SE releases, revolving around an all-black colourway with red accents. And nope, there is still no performance upgrade either—the changes implemented on the 2026 X50 SE are purely cosmetic.
Even though we got to see the unit up close, Proton has yet to disclose the 2026 X50 SE pricing. For reference, the X50 Flagship—the variant the SE is based on—currently goes for RM113,300.
