Allocation for Mitra will increase from RM100 million to RM150 million under the 2027 budget.KUALA LUMPUR: The allocation for the Malaysian Indian Transformation Unit (Mitra) will be increased to RM150 million in 2027, says Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.

Anwar said the funding would focus on providing training and employment opportunities for Indian youths, particularly in fields such as industrial automation, technology and aircraft maintenance.

The allocation is up from the RM100 million announced under the 2026 budget, with an additional RM50 million allocated in May.
