Lee Chean Chung’s resignation as Petaling Jaya MP follows his three-year suspension from PKR.

PETALING JAYA: Lee Chean Chung has announced his resignation as Petaling Jaya MP following his three-year suspension from PKR.

At a press conference today, Lee said he was informed on Sept 30 that his PKR membership had been suspended for three years.

“Should I continue receiving a salary as an MP but merely sit silently? No. Therefore, I have decided to resign unconditionally as the MP for Petaling Jaya, effective today,” the former PKR communications director said.

The first-term MP also said that he would resign from PKR on Monday.
