KUALA LUMPUR: Johor and Selangor remained among the states most affected by the haze, with 28 areas nationwide recording unhealthy air quality as of 5pm today.

According to the Department of Environment's Air Pollutant Index Management System (APIMS), eight air quality monitoring stations in Johor recorded unhealthy Air Pollutant Index (API) readings, followed by four in Selangor.

In Johor, Tangkak recorded the highest API reading at 185, followed by Larkin and Pasir Gudang (182), Segamat and Batu Pahat (176), Kluang (173), Kota Tinggi (171) and Pengerang (170).

In Selangor, Shah Alam recorded an API reading of 159, followed by Johan Setia (157), Petaling Jaya (155) and Klang (147).
