KUALA LUMPUR: The 2027 Budget was an effort by the government to ease the public's burdens through financial assistance, individual tax relief and tax reductions for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
Investment, Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani said the approach included several measures to help the public cope with daily living expenses while easing the financial burden on workers and businesses.
Speaking after officiating the closing ceremony of the Johari Ghani Cup National Sports Day Futsal Carnival in Batu Caves, he said the measures also included financial assistance to help the public afford essential goods, with the amount of aid varying according to the recipient category.
