SETIU: Two women were killed when the Proton Waja car they were travelling in was involved in a five-vehicle collision at Km48 Jalan Kuala Terengganu-Kota Baru in Kampung Selamat here this afternoon.
The victims were identified as the driver, trader Nur Fauziah Ismail, 38, from Kampung Apek, and front-seat passenger Zawiah Halias, 41, a trader from Kampung Hulu Kekabu.
District police chief Superintendent Zahril Asri Mohd Zain said police received information about the crash about 4pm.
The incident, he said, is believed to have occurred about 3.45pm.
