PEATLING JAYA: One of the 55 Malaysians who went missing following the glacial floods in Nepal on Aug 26 was found safe and returned to Malaysia this morning.

A group representing the families of the 55 Malaysians said it was informed by Wisma Putra that the man showed up at the Malaysian embassy in Kathmandu yesterday.

Malaysia Solidarity: Families in Hope, or Masfih, said the Malaysian was travelling alone in Nepal and was at Nagthali on Aug 25, a day before the floods struck.

He was stranded at Nagthali for a period of time due to a loss of communication access and damaged infrastructure, but eventually managed to reach the embassy.
