KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysia Solidarity Families in Hope (MASFIH) has proposed nine key priorities to address challenges faced by families of 54 Malaysians who remain missing following the Aug 26 Nepal-Tibet flood disaster.

The proposals include establishing a coordinated national response mechanism, seeking urgent legal clarification from the Attorney-General's Chambers, developing a legal framework for exceptional overseas mass-disappearance cases, and obtaining official confirmation of the missing persons' status.

MASFIH spokesperson Dr R. Manivannan said the proposals were presented during a meeting with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today, alongside a 29-page document outlining recommended interventions, implementation priorities and coordinated government action.
