(Bernama pic)PETALING JAYA: Police have launched an investigation after several houses inhabited by the Rohingya community in Kulai, Johor, were torched with Molotov cocktails past midnight today.

Johor police chief Ab Rahaman Arsad said a report was lodged at around 1.30am today after the firebombing occurred, causing minor fires at the gates of the houses.

He said the fires were put out swiftly and no injuries or property damage were reported.

Rahaman said investigations showed the incident might have been in response to two viral videos purportedly showing a group of Rohingya men daring people to a fight in Kulai.
