KUALA LUMPUR: Air quality improved nationwide amid transboundary haze, with no areas recording unhealthy Air Pollutant Index (API) readings as of 5.30pm today.
According to the Department of Environment's (DoE) Air Pollutant Index Management System (APIMS), 65 areas recorded moderate air quality, while three were in the good category.
This marked an improvement from 9.20am, when Sri Manjung in Perak was the only area nationwide with an unhealthy API reading, at 108.
Sri Manjung's API had fallen to 92 by 5.30pm, placing it back in the moderate category.
Cheras in Kuala Lumpur recorded the highest API reading at 96, followed by Sri Manjung, Sri Aman and Serian in Sarawak, each at 92.
