PETALING JAYA: The Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, has urged political leaders to end their squabbles and jostling for power, warning that such disputes could lead to divisions.
Sultan Sharafuddin conveyed the message after meeting former Selangor menteris besar Khir Toyo and Azmin Ali, as well as current menteri besar Amirudin Shari, after Friday prayers today.
“Instead, attention should focus on the state’s development, the welfare of the people and those in need,” Sultan Sharafuddin said, according to a social media post by the Selangor royal office.
