KUALA TERENGGANU, Oct 24 — The younger brother of the Sultan of Terengganu, Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin, Datuk Seri Dr Tengku Baderul Zaman, son of the late Sultan Mahmud Al-Muktafi Billah Shah, passed away at 1.20 am today at Gleneagles Hospital, Kuala Lumpur. He was 51.
According to a statement by the Comptroller of the Terengganu Royal Household, Datuk Mohd Sophian Abu Bakar, the remains of Tengku Baderul Zaman will arrive at Sultan Mahmud Airport in Kuala Nerus at 1.15 pm aboard a special aircraft.
The Regent of Terengganu, Tengku Muhammad Ismail, will receive the remains of the late Tengku Baderul Zaman.
The remains will be taken to the Balai Islam, Istana Syarqiyyah, for final respects before being laid to rest at the Royal Mausoleum of Masjid Al-Muktafi Billah Shah.
