PETALING JAYA: Stakeholders have been given more time to finalise arrangements to implement the multi-lane free flow (MLFF) toll system, says works minister Alexander Nanta Linggi.
Nanta said the system’s implementation would follow a business-to-business (B2B) model, with highway concessionaires and other interested parties working together to develop it, Bernama reported.
He said the approach would allow interested parties, particularly highway concessionaires which own the highways and related assets, to negotiate among themselves.
“We don’t want to rush this. The people interested in implementing this system must talk with each other, especially the concessionaires,” he said at a press conference after the opening ceremony of the MyAsean Road and Traffic Tech Expo 2026 in Kuala Lumpur.
