PETALING JAYA: Former deputy inspector-general of police Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay has been appointed chairman of the Football Association of Malaysia’s integrity committee for the remainder of the 2025-2029 term.

FAM’s executive committee also appointed Malaysian Border Control and Protection Agency (AKPS) director-general Shuhaily Zain as the committee’s deputy chairman.

Ayob retired from the police force in July after 35 years of service. He previously gained national and international recognition while heading the Bukit Aman counter-terrorism division from 2016 to 2020, where he became known for dismantling militant cells and thwarting terror plots.
