PETALING JAYA: Perikatan Nasional and PAS are expected to contest seven to 10 seats in the upcoming Melaka state election, said PN deputy chairman Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man.
Tuan Ibrahim, who is also PAS's deputy president, said PN and Umno had discussed seat allocations and drawn up a basic framework for the polls.
"We have a framework, but it needs to be brought to our respective parties for endorsement," New Straits Times quoted him as saying today.
The Kubang Kerian MP said the negotiations were based on an understanding that parties would keep the seats they had previously won.
