KANGAR: Police have confirmed receiving a report on the death of a Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) officer and injuries to three others during a border surveillance operation off Perlis early today.
Kangar police chief Assistant Commissioner Yusharifuddin Mohd Yusop confirmed the report when contacted.
"It is confirmed that a police report has been lodged regarding the incident," he said.
The deceased was identified as Leading Seaman (Technical) Mohd Roshaimi Mohd Ridzuan, 41, who served with the Intelligence Unit at the Kedah and Perlis Maritime Headquarters.
