KUALA LUMPUR: Maverick Vinales is hoping to rediscover some of his old form when he returns to Sepang for the Petronas Grand Prix of Malaysia which starts on Friday.

The Red Bull KTM Tech3 rider has struggled with a left shoulder injury which has required multiple surgeries over the past year. His poor form has seen him being left without a premier-class seat for next season.

The 31-year-old admitted he continued to struggle with the injury at Phillip Island recently.

Vinales is, however, fond of Sepang having won there twice in 2014 (Moto2) and 2019 (MotoGP).
