KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Consultative Council of Islamic Organisation (Mapim) has launched the Gaza Winter Humanitarian Aid Campaign 2026, targeting RM5 million in donations to support Palestinians ahead of the winter season.
Its president Mohd Azmi Abdul Hamid said the campaign was launched as the situation in Gaza was expected to become more challenging with the approaching winter, which would also coincide with Ramadan.
"We aim to raise at least RM5 million over five months until April or May next year.
"The fund will cover basic necessities such as food, warm clothing, medicines, tents and clean water supplies," he told reporters after launching the Gaza Winter Humanitarian Aid Campaign 2026 here recently.
