Awang Tengah and Fatimah join party leaders, members and supports in performing a heart gesture.

DALAT (Nov 2): Caretaker Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan urged Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) leaders and grassroots machinery to intensify their efforts ahead of the coming state election.

He stressed public support must translate into actual votes, and party members and supporters should not be complacent despite the support expressed for the coalition as election victories were determined by ballots cast on polling day.

“What counts is the ballot paper, not the voice. It does not matter how loudly people express their support if they do not come out to vote,” he said at the Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu Sarawak N56 Dalat ‘Pemimpin Bersama Rakyat Dalat’ programme at the Dalat Welfare Complex yesterday.
