More than 500 houses were affected by floods after heavy rain around Sungai Buloh, Selangor, with residents evacuated to a relief centre at Dewan Siantan.

KUALA LUMPUR: More than 500 houses have been affected by floods following heavy rain in several areas around Sungai Buloh, Selangor, particularly Kampung Melayu Subang, yesterday.

Sungai Buloh MP, Datuk Seri R Ramanan said the affected residents had been evacuated to a temporary relief centre opened at Dewan Siantan in Kampung Melayu Subang.

“The centre will remain operational for as long as necessary to ensure that affected residents receive adequate shelter and assistance,” he posted on Facebook tonight.
