Langkawi Cruise Terminal has a 370m berth, but tidal conditions may require Disney Adventure to anchor offshore and ferry passengers to the island.

PETALING JAYA: Disney Adventure may have to anchor in deeper waters off Langkawi and use smaller boats to ferry passengers ashore when the giant cruise ship begins calling at the island in January, Transport Minister Anthony Loke said.

He said the Langkawi Cruise Terminal was considered suitable for the vessel, although tidal conditions could determine whether it would be able to berth directly.

“Langkawi Cruise Terminal is a suitable location for Disney Adventure to berth, as it has a main berth measuring 370 metres in length and a water depth of 11 metres.
