APAD says rules requiring express bus tickets to be sold via licensed terminals and registered operators’ platforms will be phased in, with a soft landing.

KUALA LUMPUR: The implementation of regulations requiring all express bus ticket sales to be coordinated through licensed bus terminals and registered operators’ online sales platforms will be carried out in phases, following the original enforcement date of Nov 1.

The Land Public Transport Agency (APAD) in a statement said that this phased implementation approach or soft landing aims to provide a reasonable transition period for licensed bus terminal management and express bus operators to make technical preparations.

This includes ticket system adjustments, digital platform integration, and operational process alignment to ensure the smooth implementation of this policy without compromising service continuity for users.
