KUALA LUMPUR: Film producer and director Faisal Ishak has highlighted the vital role families play in shaping a child's character, particularly when it comes to instilling proper conduct, attitudes, and discipline.
His comments come amidst recent calls for an immediate halt to television dramas and films that depict or promote a culture of bullying, following growing public concern over the issue among school students.
Speaking to Harian Metro recently, the 56-year-old Juvana director pointed out that the root of the problem often lies closer to home.
"Current issues regarding children's behaviour, manners, and discipline often stem from the home environment—a situation further complicated by the pervasive influence of social media," he said.
