Anwar questions the opposition’s lack of concern over RM9 billion in losses linked to pipeline projects, of which the government has recovered RM5 billion
KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today questioned the opposition’s apparent lack of concern over RM9 billion in losses linked to pipeline projects, despite the substantial amount of national funds involved.
He said that although the government had managed to recover RM5 billion of the losses, the issue had received little attention from the opposition, including in parliamentary debates.
“On Tuesday, I revealed that RM9 billion had gone missing in connection with a gas project in Sabah undertaken by the federal government in 2016. We managed to recover RM5 billion…yet there has been no reaction.
